5 December 1915 Marshall Liman von Sanders visited Mustafa Kemal in his headquarters and gave permission to him for a repose.
6 December 1915 Preparations began for the evacuation
8 December 1915 High officials visited Mustafa Kemal. Fevzi Cakmak came to Suval to replace Mustafa Kemal during his repose.
10 December 1915 Mustafa Kemal and his guests left Gallipoli for Istanbul. In Istanbul, Mustafa Kemal explained the reason of his departure from Gallipoli, to Salih Bozok: “I have realised that the enemy will evacuate the peninsula and proposed to attack but they have refused. That really irritated me. I was so tired as well, and I came to Istanbul. If I were there, while the enemy was evacuating, I would be irritated much more. Luckily I am here.”
11 December 1915 Mustafa Kemal arrival to Istanbul.
19-20 December 1915 Evacuation of the Anzac Cove and Suvla Bay (The allies evacuated this region silently and secretly by benefiting from the fog. The large scale of the evacuation was made on this night. Helles was evacuated on 8-9 January 1916).
